Creativity and Learning!

We have been busy being creative building things, working together and learning about the life cycle of Monarch Butterfly. Everyone has been loving seeing the caterpillars evolving a chrysalis and then into a butterfly. We had so many caterpillars we had to take some home to ensure they could survive!

Swimming Sports

On Thursday 10th March the school held swimming sports. It was a fantastic day with a number of children qualifying for Zones. Thanks to everyone who came down to support!

Triathlon

On Thursday 3rd March 2016 we held a triathlon for our Studio. There were a number of events which included a fun or competitive individual or team race. Each race required the children to swim, scooter and run. The children had lots of fun and it was fantastic to see parents and other family members coming down to support their whanau.

Frankie Adams visits Tāwhirimātea

Early in Term 1 we had the privilege of hosting Frankie Adams who is a famous New Zealand actor. Frankie is well known for her role as Ula in the popular TV show Shortland Street. As a studio we were able to interview her and she explained what she had to do to be a successful actor. We got some awesome inside information, a picture with her and her autograph! This was a special day that we will not forget :).
